THIS IS A BUSINESS EXPANSION PROJECT AND IT WILL INCLUDE ACQUISITION AND RENOVATION OF A CURRENT VACANT COMMERCIAL BUILDING AT 1014 SOUTH MAIN, AND IT WILL REESTABLISH THE PROPERTY AS AN ATTRACTIVE, ACTIVE BUSINESS ON OUR SOUTH MAIN CORRIDOR, WHICH WILL HOPEFULLY HELP TO INSPIRE OTHER PROPERTY OWNERS TO REDEVELOP IN THIS AREA. THE ACQUISITION COST COMES IN AT 380,000, TOGETHER WITH DESIGN, ENGINEERING AND CONSTRUCTION COSTS ESTIMATED AT ANOTHER 380,000, EQUALING A TOTAL PROJECT OF $760,000. SO THIS IS OUR MOTOR VEHICLE CRIME STATS FOR 2025. SO OF THE 1417 179 WERE MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS. THERE WERE STOLEN CARS, 252 WERE THEFTS FROM MOTOR VEHICLES AND 33 WERE THEFT OF MOTOR VEHICLE PARTS. SO TOTALING ABOUT 464 TOTAL OFFENSES. SO TOTAL MOTOR VEHICLE CRIME REPRESENTED 30% OF ALL REPORTED CRIME IN DUNCANVILLE. SO 31% OF OUR CRIME IS BASED ON VEHICLES ALONE. SO HOW DOES THAT RELEVANT TO YOU ALL? WELL, OUR COMMERCIAL VEHICLES ACCOUNTED FOR 37% OF THOSE OFFENSES. SO IT'S IT'S THERE. IT'S THOSE CORRIDORS THAT I WAS TELLING YOU GUYS ABOUT. SO WHILE OUR MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT DECREASED IN NEIGHBORHOODS, IT INCREASED IN COMMERCIAL AREAS BY 8%. ALL RIGHT. SO THIS IS ALL OF 2025.
SO ON THE LEFT YOU HAVE THEFT FROM MOTOR VEHICLES WHICH ARE BURGLARIES. AND THEN ON THE RIGHT YOU HAVE MOTOR VEHICLE THEFTS, WHICH IS STOLEN VEHICLES.
