IT'S THE ONE THAT WE'VE PREPARED OUR PRESENTATION ORIGINALLY FROM. WE'VE GOT AN EXISTING CITY HALL THERE, AN EXISTING BUILDING WITH SOME PARKING ON EITHER SIDE. TO THE LEFT OF THAT IS ALSO A CITY OWNED SITE. IT'S WHAT HAS A BUILDING THAT HAS BEEN RE RETROFITTED TO BE THE IT AND FINANCE DEPARTMENTS OF THE OF THE CITY, AND THAT'S GREAT. THE GOOD THING AND WHAT WE WERE THINKING IS ANNIE HAD THIS IDEA WAS, HEY, YOU KNOW, THAT'S REALLY AN OFFICE BUILDING. IT'S NOTHING BUT OFFICE SPACE. THERE'S NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT IT. THE FOLKS IN CITY HALL AND COURTS FIND A DIFFERENT TEMPORARY LOCATION FOR THEM. BUILD A NEW PD AND COURTS FACILITY THAT WOULD HOUSE BOTH PD AND COURTS AND THE CUP. THAT'S THAT'S A A UTILITY PLANT, CENTRAL UTILITY PLANT. THAT'S WHERE WE KEEP ALL OF THE COMPRESSORS AND, AND [00:40:03] CHILLERS, GENERATORS AND MEP EQUIPMENT, THINGS LIKE THAT. SO THAT'S A PROTECTED ENVIRONMENT WHERE WE KEEP ALL OF THAT EQUIPMENT. SO WE WOULD BUILD THE NEW POLICE AND THE COURTS FACILITIES. WE WOULD MOVE PD OUT OF THEIR BUILDING, MOVE THEM INTO THE THE NEW POLICE BUILDING THAT'S FULLY FUNCTIONING. AND THEN WE WOULD RAISE THE EXISTING POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND WE WOULD ADD THE ADDITIONAL PUBLIC PARKING THAT NEEDS TO BE AVAILABLE FOR THE COURTS USES. AND THEN WE WOULD THEN MOVE THE COURTS BACK IN AND WE WOULD HAVE A FULLY FUNCTIONING NEW POLICE AND COURTS BUILDING WITH SECURED PARKING, WHICH IS THE DARK ORANGE IN THE BACK, AND PUBLIC PARKING, WHICH IS THE LIGHTER ORANGE IN THE FRONT. NOW ONE, ONE IMPORTANT THING TO UNDERSTAND HERE IS THE BIG BLACK LINE ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE SITE, WHICH SHOWS THE EGRESS AND INGRESS FOR THIS SECURED PARKING. THERE'S ONLY ONE INGRESS EGRESS. SO IF SOMETHING HAPPENED AT THE AT THE MOUTH OF THAT INGRESS EGRESS, YOU CAN IMAGINE PEOPLE CAN'T GET IN AND OUT FROM THE SECURED AREA. SO IF THE POLICE MOST OF THE TIME POLICE GO TO A A CALL WHILE THEY'RE ON THE BEAT, SO THEY'RE COMING FROM A DIFFERENT PART OF THE FROM THE CITY. BUT IF THEY'RE IF THEY HAPPEN TO BE IN THE BUILDING WHEN THEY GET THE CALL AND THEY HAVE TROUBLE GETTING OUT, THAT POSES A PROBLEM. NOW, YOU DO HAVE LEFT AND RIGHT ACCESS, WHICH IS GOOD. WE LOOKED AT THIS OPTION, WHICH WOULD MOVE THE FOLKS FROM IT AND FINANCE OUT, AND WE WOULD DEMOLISH THAT BUILDING. INSTEAD, WE WOULD ADD A NEW POLICE AND COURTS BUILDING WHERE IT'S SHOWN THERE IN BLUE WITH THE WITH THE CENTRAL UTILITY UP AT THE VERY TOP THERE THEY HAVE THE BLUE BOX UP THERE WE GET SIGNIFICANTLY MORE SECURE PARKING. YOU CAN TELL THERE THAT WE'VE GOT THE PUBLIC PARKING THAT WOULD FACE THE NEW SPORTS FACILITY AND PROVIDE FOR THE COURTS. WE'VE GOT AN EMERGENCY EGRESS FROM THE SECURED AREAS THAT IS DEDICATED TO POLICE FUNCTIONS THAT COULD BE COMING OUT TO SOUTH MAIN STREET. WE'VE ALSO MAINTAINED THE ONE THAT GOES OUT TO WHEATLAND ROAD AS WELL. IN THIS OPTION, WE WOULD BUILD THE NEW POLICE COURTS BUILDING, MOVE THE POLICE COURTS OVER THERE, AND THEN TEAR DOWN THE EXISTING PD, WHICH WOULD LEAVE YOUR CITY HALL AS IS, AND IT COULD BE UTILIZED HOWEVER YOU WANT TO USE IT. WHETHER CITY HALL MAINTAINS THERE AND EXPANDS WITHIN THERE OR NOT, THAT WOULD BE UP TO YOU. BUT THIS LEAVES CITY HALL AS IS, BUT DOES TAKE OUT THE THE EXISTING POLICE DEPARTMENT. AND THEN WE WOULD WE WOULD ADD ADDITIONAL PUBLIC PARKING SPACES OVER THERE. ONCE WE TAKE THE, THE POLICE, THE EXISTING POLICE STATION OUT, AND THEN IT WOULD BECOME A FULLY FUNCTIONING AREA. IT'S JUST RIGHT ACROSS AN ENTRY PLAZA FROM FROM EACH OTHER. SO INSTEAD OF BEING CO-LOCATED THERE WITHIN THE [00:50:02] SAME CAMPUS, THEY'RE THEY'RE RIGHT NEXT TO EACH OTHER VERY MUCH LIKE THEY ARE RIGHT NOW. WE COULD THE PUBLIC PARKING ON MAIN STREET. THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING, ESPECIALLY COURTS, WOULD FACE MAIN STREET, WHEREAS THE POLICE WOULD FACE WHEATLAND ROAD. NOW YOU DON'T GET. IN THIS OPTION. YOU HAVE GREAT INGRESS EGRESS FOR THE POLICE. YOU HAVE GREAT SECURE PARKING AREAS. WE THOUGHT ABOUT THE STORMWATER THAT MIGHT BE TO THE TO THE EAST TO THE SITE. BUT WE WOULD HAVE TO TEAR DOWN THE EXISTING PD AND THE EXISTING CITY HALL TO MAKE THIS ONE. A REALITY. AND SO I'M NOT SURE HOW THAT WOULD SIT WITH YOU ALL, BUT WE DO. BUT ANGEL SAID AGAIN THAT THAT'S BEING WE'RE TRYING TO GET IT AS AS EFFICIENT AND AS SMALL AS POSSIBLE, BECAUSE WE DO UNDERSTAND THAT EVERY SQUARE FOOT EQUATES TO A NUMBER.
