IT'S BASICALLY JUST THAT THE ONGOING MAINTENANCE THEY DO ALONG THE SERVICE ROAD. AND I HAVE ONE QUESTION I DID RECEIVE. WE DON'T THINK THAT'S FAIR. THEY EXEMPTED FOR SCHOOL DISTRICTS SEVERAL YEARS AGO. WE'RE TRYING TO GET THEM TO EXEMPT TO FOR CITIES AS WELL. AND SO WE DID THAT. AND RIGHT NOW WE'RE WORKING WITH THE PUC TO GET COMMERCIAL SERVICE STANDARDS.

RESIDENTS HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE STANDARDS. THE COMMERCIAL SIDE DOES NOT. AND WE'D LIKE TO SEE SOME OF THOSE IMPLEMENTED TO HELP, ESPECIALLY WITH THE SMALLER CITIES WHO ARE BEING TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF THAT AREN'T MEMBERS OF TKAP. DIFFERENT BROKERS AND RETAIL ELECTRIC PROVIDERS CALL THE SAME THINGS DIFFERENT NAMES. OVER HERE YOU HAVE HUB LOAD ZONE PASS THROUGH OTHER CHARGES, OTHER ERCOT INCREMENTAL AS CHARGES AND THE LIST GOES ON. THESE ARE JUST TWO OF THE BILLS. THERE'S ONLY TWO GROUPS OF CHARGES. WE'RE ALL GETTING BACK INTO THE SWING OF THINGS HERE. JUST THINGS TO REPORT. WE DO HAVE SOME. WE DID RECEIVE SOME GOOD NEWS OVER THE HOLIDAYS. THE CITY WAS SELECTED FOR THE SAFE STREETS AND ROADS FOR ALL PLANNING GRANT THROUGH THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION. THE GRANT WILL HELP US TO FUND THE DEVELOPMENT OF A COMPREHENSIVE TRANSPORTATION SAFETY AND MOBILITY PLAN THAT NOT ONLY INCLUDED SAFETY ACTION PLAN, BUT ALSO AN ADA TRANSITION PLAN, AS WELL AS A GENERAL MOBILITY AND TRANSPORTATION PLAN. IT'S THE TOTAL AWARD WAS $1.223 MILLION. TXDOT WILL FUND 978,000 OF THAT, AND THEN WE'LL FUND THE DIFFERENCE WITH 244,000, WHICH WAS A BUDGET EXPENSE FOR THE FY 26 BUDGET.

BUT I JUST WANT TO SAY THANK YOU TO SHAH MUHAMMAD, MATT BRYANT AND THE PUBLIC'S WORK TEAM FOR THEIR WORK ON THAT. WE'RE REALLY EXCITED ABOUT GETTING THIS GRANT AND AND MOVING FORWARD WITH THESE INITIATIVES. HE WENT ON TO BE THE DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF THE TEXAS WATER DEVELOPMENT BOARD, AND HE ALSO WAS A CITY MANAGER OF FLOWER MOUND AS WELL AS JONESTOWN. HE WAS REALLY WIDELY RESPECTED FOR HIS EXPERTISE IN MUNICIPAL WATER RIGHTS. HE WAS KNOWN AS A REALLY HIGH LEADER WITH INTEGRITY, AND FOR HIS DEEP COMMITMENT TO PUBLIC SERVICE. HE SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, LORI F DODSON, WHO IRONICALLY DID WORK HERE AT THE CITY TWO SIDE BY SIDE WITH HIM FOR MANY YEARS UNTIL SHE TOOK A CAREER WITH TML.
