WE HAD KID ACTIVITIES LIKE BOUNCE HOUSES, A PETTING ZOO, COOKIES, SANTA'S, ETC. LOTS OF PHOTO OPS SPREAD OUT AROUND THE PARK. OBVIOUSLY SANTA AND THE HOLIDAY PARADE AS WELL AS MULTIPLE VENDORS, BOTH FOOD AND MARKET. OVERALL, OUR SUCCESSES FOR ECONOMIC IMPACT.

WE COLLECTED A TOTAL OF $2,875 IN VENDOR APPLICATION FEES. A TOTAL OF $750 IN PERMIT FEES.

SECURED A TOTAL OF 14 FOOD VENDORS, WHICH IS THE MOST THAT THIS EVENT HAS HAD. AND A TOTAL OF 25 VENDORS PARTICIPATED IN THE MARKET. COMMUNITY WISE STAFF VISITED THE LOCAL BUSINESSES AND ISSUED HARD COPIES OF THE RUN OF SHOW AND STREET CLOSURES, WHICH HAD NOT BEEN DONE IN THE PAST.

BUT THAT WAS SOME OF THE FEEDBACK THAT WE RECEIVED LAST YEAR. SO WE MADE SURE TO DO THAT THIS YEAR. PARADE PARTICIPANTS, VENDORS AND COMMUNITY RECEIVED EVENT DETAIL UPDATES WELL IN ADVANCE. AS MUCH AS WE COULD. ALL INVOICES WERE PAID. FINANCE DEPARTMENT RECEIVED NO OUTSTANDING INVOICES AFTER THE EVENT. COMMUNICATION WISE, WE IMPROVED COMMUNICATION WITH VENDORS. AS WELL AS THROUGHOUT THE CITY. FIRE AND HEALTH INSPECTORS WERE ABLE TO COORDINATE GETTING THOSE FOOD TRUCKS INSPECTIONS DONE. ONLINE COVERAGE WAS WELL RECEIVED BOTH ON THE FACEBOOK AND THE WEBSITE. AND THEN EMAIL AND BILLING NEWSLETTERS WERE SENT OUT IN THE UTILITY, AS WELL AS PICKED UP BY LOCAL NEWS. ITEMS SUCH AS FOCUS DAILY NEWS, MY AREA NETWORK, NEXTDOOR, ETC. FOR COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT, MORE THAN 30 CITY OF DUNCANVILLE STAFF VOLUNTEERED IN A TOTAL OF 26 NON CITY STAFF VOLUNTEERED. THEY ASSISTED WITH THINGS FROM HELPING YOU KNOW MARK VENDORS AT THE MARKET GETS SET UP. WE HAD PEOPLE AT THE PARKING BARRICADES LETTING PEOPLE IN AND OUT.
