WELL, SOMETIMES THOSE MEETINGS CAN GET A LITTLE A LITTLE ROUGH. PEOPLE COME IN WITH A LOT OF PASSION. THIS MEETING WENT WELL. IT WAS FULL CAPACITY. AND I THINK THE THE MESSAGE WAS, WAS HEARD FOR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND MANAGEMENT. FROM WHAT, WHAT THESE PEOPLE HAD TO SAY ABOUT A DECISION WE'RE GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE HERE IN THE NEAR FUTURE ABOUT A DEVELOPMENT. WE STARTED BY MEETING WITH THE POLICE OFFICERS, ACTUALLY WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT TO SEE WHAT THEY WANTED. SET BENCHMARKS. WE DID A SCIENTIFIC SURVEY CALLED AN ANALYSIS CALLED A TRI METRICS REPORT. AND THERE WAS ONE GUY THAT KEPT COMING TO THE TOP OVER AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN, AND I ALREADY KNEW HOW TO PRONOUNCE HIS NAME. NOW, NOT TOO MANY PEOPLE KNOW UNLESS YOU HAD THE PRIVILEGE TO TAKE YOUR DOG THERE, THAT THEY'VE EXISTED IN DUNCANVILLE FOR 50 YEARS. AND I HAD THE PRIVILEGE A FEW YEARS AGO. I GOT A DOG, AND I FOUND OUT THE DOG WANTED TO BE THE BOSS OF ME. SO I HAD DONE SOME INSPECTIONS PROBABLY 25 YEARS AGO OUT THERE. SO I REMEMBERED THEY WERE THERE. I WAS CALLING ALL OVER DALLAS COUNTY TRYING TO FIND TRAINING FACILITY. AND SHOOT, THERE'S ONE RIGHT HERE. SO I WENT THERE AND HAD IT WORKED. MY DOG TRAINED ME EVEN BETTER. BUT IN ALL HONESTY, IT WAS A PLEASURE TO GO OUT THERE LAST MONTH TO A BARBECUE AND MEETING THAT THEY HAD. AND I THINK YOU ALL HAVE CLOSE TO 200 MEMBERS THERE. FACILITY WAS PACKED. IF YOU'VE NEVER BEEN DOWN THERE AND YOU HAVE PETS, YOU SHOULD GO DOWN THERE. THEY TRAIN AND I'M GOING TO LET RUTH TALK ABOUT THAT. THEY TRAIN FOR ALL TYPES OF ISSUES WITH DOGS. GOOD AND BAD. AND WHEREAS, BY PROVIDING ALL BREED TRAINING PROGRAMS, THESE DEDICATED VOLUNTEERS HAVE IMPROVED THE LIVES OF THOUSANDS OF DOGS AND THEIR OWNERS WITH NOT ONLY NOT ONLY OBEDIENCE SKILLS, CHAMPIONSHIPS, MANNERS AND SOCIAL SKILLS, BUT ALSO HIGH LEVEL TRAINING INVOLVING THERAPY AND NOSEWORK.
